Jennifer

Jennifer hails from Philadelphia, but has been a Colorado Springs resident since 1989. Growing up she was a competitive dancer. Jennifer has an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting, and opted to do her clinical training with Bryn Mawr Sports Medicine. After becoming a military spouse and mother of 3, including twins, she returned to school to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. Helping people feel better is what she strives to achieve. When Jennifer isn’t dabbling in home renovations, decorating and woodworking, she enjoys daily walks and spending time with her family.


Shannon

Shannon grew up in Castle Rock and was a multi sport athlete. She enjoyed competitive gymnastics and softball from a young age. She learned very quickly how effective physical therapy can be, as she experienced the rehab process firsthand with her own injuries. She was grateful to be able to continue on and excel with her athletic careers—thanks to physical therapy. She became passionate about helping others achieve their goals and knew she wanted to become a PT. She attended Regis University where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience, a minor in Exercise Science, and also played collegiate softball. She continued her education at Regis University and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. She enjoys working with a wide variety of patients including athletes, patients with neurological conditions, patients with vestibular & balance dysfunction, and patients with autoimmune conditions. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, coaching a girls competitive softball team with her husband, golfing, and hiking.


Dani

Dani grew up in California where she was a competitive swimmer and multi-sport athlete. She earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science at San Diego State University, was a Personal Trainer, and became interested in Physical Therapy due to her own sports injuries. She got her Masters of Physical Therapy at Cal State Northridge and moved to Colorado in pursuit of outdoor adventure. Dani has previous experience in inpatient acute, rehab, & home health physical therapy. She specializes in post-surgical total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, restoration of balance, fall prevention, geriatrics, and manual therapy. Dani has a passion for Physical Therapy and enjoys helping others realize they can be healthy and active at any age. Dani is also certified in Canine Rehab Therapy and loves to work with animals. When not in the clinic, Dani can be found swimming, running, mountaineering, hiking, rock climbing, snowshoeing, skiing, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and their dog.


Allison

Allison grew up in Missouri where she was a competitive gymnast. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Chemistry minor at Missouri State University, her Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology at University of Illinois and her Master of Physical Therapy at Rockhurst University. Allison is a board Certified Orthopaedic Manual Therapist (COMT) and Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). She specializes in joint hypermobility and strives to help others learn to find appropriate postural motor control, balance and stability so that they can work to their potential as athletes, weekend warriors and more importantly happy and healthy people. She enjoys hiking, biking, fly fishing, hunting and camping with her friends and two children.


Winnette

Winnette is a Physical Therapist Assistant with a background in massage therapy and experience in outpatient and rehab physical therapy. Her initial experience with PT was work as a PT Aide in an outpatient clinic in Alaska, where she came to love seeing patient rehab progression. As a military spouse, she has lived across the US and Europe. While living in Europe Winnette pursued her MEd in Guidance and Counseling and served active duty military, veterans, and their families as an education counselor. Although she enjoyed education counseling, she had a desire to return to the field of Physical Therapy. After settling in Colorado Springs, she was accepted into the PTA program at Arapahoe Community College. She finds work as a PTA satisfying and enjoys assisting others return to full function and improved quality of life. Outside the clinic, Winnette enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, hiking, paddleboarding, and all the dogs.


Stefanie

Stefanie was born and raised in Colorado Springs. Physical therapy has always been a part of her life because she grew up with an uncle who is a PT and an aunt who is an OT. Her future in this field was solidified when her mom was diagnosed with MS and needed extensive physical therapy. Seeing the amazing benefits of physical therapy up close gave her the passion to be a part of the process. She received her Bachelor’s in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She received her PTA degree from Arapahoe Community College. She started working for ProActive in 2015, shortly after graduating from ACC. She enjoys working with athletes, post op, and hyper mobility patients. She likes the teamwork approach at ProActive where everyone gets to learn from each other. In her free time, Stefanie likes traveling, hiking, and exploring with her chocolate lab.


Jason

Jason Baits, a Colorado native, grew up in the city of Colorado Springs enjoying all this beautiful state has to offer. He split his time as a youth athlete between gymnastics and skiing. Through those sports he grew to appreciate the profession of physical therapy. Jason has coached gymnastics for 30 years and has developed athletes from walking to elite caliber. His athletes have earned scholarships to a multitude of universities. Along with coaching Jason has worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant at ProActive Physical Therapy since 2005. It was at ProActive PT where he was introduced to MAT™, Muscle Activation Techniques™. He saw MAT™ as a revolutionary way to enhance patient recovery and stabilization, thus prompting Peak Activation LLC of which he is the founder and Chief Specialist. Since 2016 he has become Jumpstart certified, an MAT™ Specialist, and has achieved his Masters level Certifications of Trunk and Spine, Foot Function, Hand and Wrist, and Cervical Spine.


Jacque

Being an Army brat, Jacque grew up in the US and abroad. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Years ago, Jacque’s daughter struggled to find quality care as an elite collegiate gymnast. After searching the area, they came upon ProActive. Jacque was so impressed with the patient centered care given that she joined the ProActive team in 2010. Jacque believes everyone is entitled to outstanding customer service. She enjoys hiking and traveling in her spare time.
